Breast Lift With Augmentation
Breast augmentation with a breast lift at the same time increases breast volume and corrects sag. Patients typically wish to correct flat, deflated breasts and downward-pointing nipples—extremely common issues among women who have had children.
Breast augmentation patients have the option of either silicone gel or saline breast implants. Each type has advantages and drawbacks, and your surgeon will discuss them when developing your surgical plan.
A breast lift tightens the breast tissue and raises the breasts into a more upright position. A breast augmentation alone may suffice for women who only need a subtle lift to correct a small degree of sag. However, more moderate or severe sagging requires a lift.

After Your Combined Breast Procedure
Combination breast surgery usually requires more recovery time than a single procedure. To speed up the recovery process, Dr. Garza usually has patients wear a surgical bra to support their breasts while they heal. She may also use drainage tubes to reduce fluid accumulation and swelling.
For the first week, you will notice some swelling, soreness and bruising. Our surgeon encourages patients to avoid work or other physical activity during this time. Pain medication can reduce any discomfort.
Full recovery takes a few months, but most women feel like themselves again after 4 to 6 weeks. Most patients return to work after about a week, but you should avoid strenuous exercise for about 3 to 4 weeks.
