Your First Visit

The first visit to our office is an exciting time. We’ve found that knowing what to expect during the initial visit helps as patients embark on a journey of personal transformation. Make a List

Many of our patients do extensive research about the plastic surgery procedure they want before arriving for their initial consultation. It’s helpful to make a list of questions you may have before arriving for your first visit. It’s also a good idea to reflect on the goals you have for your procedure so you can communicate those as specifically as possible during your consultation.

Schedule Your Consultation

Dr. Garza offers patients a consultation that you can request using our online form or by calling our office. We know our patients are busy and schedule appointments at convenient times. To help our staff do that, please have your calendar available. The basic information our staff asks for includes:

• The type of procedure you are considering
• Dates and times you’re available for a consultation
• Your phone number, email address, and mailing address

Complete Pre-Consultation Forms

Once you’ve scheduled a consultation, we’ll provide you with access to the Patient Portal. We pride ourselves on creating a relaxed, efficient environment and encourage you to fill out as much information as possible on the Portal before your consultation. We’re happy to answer any questions you might have during this process. On the day of your appointment, you’ll be warmly greeted.

Meeting Your Surgeon

Dr. Garza believes beautiful cosmetic results begin at your consultation. This is the time when you can describe the results you want, ask questions, and express any concerns you may have. Both Dr. Garza has a personable demeanor that helps put patients at ease, and her expertise in all areas of cosmetic plastic surgery instills confidence. That’s why women and men from throughout the Chicago area choose our practice. We strive to create an unhurried atmosphere and will take as much time as you need to address all your questions.

Your surgeon also reviews your medical history during the consultation, noting any conditions or issues that may have an impact on your treatment plan. Your blood pressure and weight might be checked.

Physical Exam

The physical exam is a vital part of creating a custom treatment plan for your procedure. You are taken to an examination room, where you privately change into a gown. The surgeon returns, accompanied by a member of her staff, who assists the surgeon and ensures your comfort. Measurements and photographs document your physical condition and are used by Dr. Garza to prepare for your procedure.

Discuss Fees

When the consultation is completed, our patient coordinator assists you by reviewing the costs associated with your procedure. A written estimate details those costs and includes all associated fees. Those can include:

• Surgeon’s fee
• Facility fee
• Anesthesia
• Medical devices, if needed (such as breast implants)
• Compression garments or other materials
• Postsurgical care

We accept several payment options and offer convenient payment plans through healthcare financing companies.

Scheduling Your Procedure

Many patients decide to schedule their procedures after a single consultation, although we are glad to meet more than once. If you choose to do so, we ask for a deposit that is applied to the cost of your procedure and is non-refundable.
