Case Details
This patient demonstrates what is termed a tuberous breast. She presented to our Indiana plastic surgery office desiring enlargement of her breasts. Tuberous shape in general is seen when the the crease under the breast is tight and the space between the breasts is wide. This causes the breast to herniate into the areola as can be seen on the side view. She was treated by dividing the tight breast tissues from the inside and placing a 350 cc silicone implant over the muscle. This procedure is performed as an outpatient at our Indiana Surgicenter.
