This patient is a teacher in Northwest Indiana who met with Dr. Galante in our Schererville office to discuss breast enhancement options. The 35-year-old woman breastfed her 3 children and wanted to restore volume to her breasts, which otherwise retained an elevated and youthful appearance.

She wore an A-cup bra at the time she met with Dr. Galante. During the consultation, Dr. Galante took a series of measurements to help the patient choose breast implants that would suit her cosmetic goals and look proportional to the rest of her body.

The woman chose Natrelle® high-profile, 475-cc silicone gel implants that Dr. Galante inserted through incisions made at the base of her breasts, called inframammary fold (IMF) incisions. Patients often come to the consultation with an idea about the size of the implants they want, but Dr. Galante encourages women to be flexible before making a decision because the same size implants can look different on different people.

He placed the implants behind the chest muscle (called subpectoral placement) during the surgery at Franciscan Same Day Surgery Center in Munster. The woman now wears size 34DD bras and is happy with her results.
