This 43-year-old stay-at-home mom breastfed all 5 of her children and wanted to restore fullness to her breasts through breast augmentation. She came to my Schererville, Indiana office for a consultation, where we discussed surgical options. She is 5 feet 2 inches tall and was a 34B-cup prior to augmentation.

She desired a full cup size increase, and we decided to use Mentor® high-profile implants that were filled to 400 cc for both breasts. The patient increased to a full 34C. During her plastic surgery at Lake Park Surgicare in Hobart, Indiana, I used the inframammmary incision and placed the implants under the pectoral muscle. The procedure was performed using a general anesthetic.

The subpectoral placement using the IMF incision location is a common technique that I believe provides optimal results in most cases. The incision at the base of the breast heals well and is generally barely noticeable after a few months.

As you can see in this patient's "after" photos, we achieved a very nice, natural-looking fullness. She reported being "very happy" with the results of her surgery.
