This 31-year-old woman came to our Schererville office for breast augmentation. The Indiana mother of 3 had breastfed all of her children and wanted to restore volume to her breasts. This patient's photos are a good example of something that holds true for many women: Mothers who breastfeed are usually excellent candidates for breast augmentation, breast lift, or both.

In this case, after the patient met with Dr. Galante to discuss her goals and health history, she and the surgeon decided to use Natrelle® 400 cc breast implants, placed above the pectoral muscles but beneath the mammary glands. Although the majority of women Dr. Galante treats select submuscular placement, patients with adequate breast tissue are good candidates for subglandular breast implants. Subglandular placement usually has a shorter recovery period.

Dr. Galante believes it is extremely important to customize each procedure to the patient's needs and body. This is why he takes as much time as is needed to come up with a surgical plan that is safe and realistic and that also gives the patient the beautiful results he or she desires.

In this case, that meant opting with a less-common implant placement technique. As you can see, the patient obtained a dramatic enhancement. She now wears a 34DD bra.
