Diane’s Breast Augmentation

Diane is a 40-year-old mother of 4 children and a nurse. Diane received a breast augmentation in Indiana from Dr. Galante in July of 2006.

“My decision to have breast augmentation was 8 years in the making,” Diane says of how she went from thinking about plastic surgery to actually having her procedure. “I was getting re-married in September, and since I am a nurse I had seen Dr. Galante’s work. Once I found the right doctor, I finally decided to do it.”

“I had asked my co-workers for recommendations for a plastic surgeon, and they all recommended Dr. Galante,” Diane explains of her reasons for choosing him. Being in the nursing profession as well, I am able to see the results of his work, and it is meticulous. I had met with a plastic surgeon years before and was not comfortable with his work; therefore, I delayed having surgery until I was able to meet with Dr. Galante and see the results of his work online.”

“I had significant concerns about breast augmentation; not only because of the surgical procedure itself, but also because there is a significant history of breast cancer in my family. I was concerned with the ability to receive mammograms post surgery. Dr. Galante explained to me that because of the way in which he performs the surgery, by placing the breast implants under the muscle, and with special views done by the radiologist there would be less difficulty with obtaining clear and accurate mammograms in the future.”

“My breast enlargement consultation in Indiana with Dr. Galante was wonderful. He answered all of my questions about the breast cancer issue. But I was very scared,” Diane admits. “I had lost my breast volume from breast feeding, and I was very self conscious. Dr. Galante assured me that I had a great frame, and that he would only put in what would allow me to look natural, and I went from a full A to a DD. At my wedding, people just said, ‘Wow!’ They just came up to me and said, ‘Wow!'”

“I feel so great about myself. I stand up straighter. My self-esteem is so much better,” Diane explains. “When I went in for my consultation, I also asked Dr. Galante about having laser resurfacing and getting BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments. He told me that he didn’t see any need for me to have those treatments, and he wasn’t going to do anything for me that I didn’t need. He told me to wait until after the breast enhancement to see if I felt the same way. And he was right. The improvement in my self-esteem helped me to see myself in a more positive way, and I didn’t need anything done to my face. And I respect Dr. Galante so much for not doing a procedure I didn’t need.”

“Follow Dr. Galante’s advice about your recovery,” Diane warns. “I went back to work too soon because I didn’t realize how sore I would be. Dr. Galante told me I would need a week, but I only took two days off. Even when I pushed myself, Dr. Galante and his staff were there for me every step of the way. I even spiked a temperature, and Dr. Galante’s nurse, Nancy (who is a great nurse) told me exactly what to do and not to panic. I followed her advice and was fine.”

“If you are seriously thinking about breast augmentation, just do it. I wish I had done it years ago,” Diane advises. “My results are unbelievable. My scars are minimal. It’s so much better than I expected. I’ve had other surgeries and this was the best medical care and the best surgical experience I’ve ever had. Dr. Galante’s nurses and staff are phenomenal – and I’m a nurse! I’ve referred 2 other women to Dr. Galante, and I will refer more.”
