This 50 year old woman from the Northwest Indiana area requested rejuvenation of her eyes. She was very active and felt quite youthful. However, her facial appearance , specifically her eyes ,did not reflect how she felt on the inside as her eyes spoke of a tired looking indiviual.

She presented to my Munster ofiice for a consultation to improve the appearance of her eyes. During her consultation I noted marked dermatochalasis (excess skin) on her upper eyelids which also caused hooding over the outermost part of the eye. She had the typical changes of aging on the lower eyelids, including bulging of the fat pockets and skin excess. After a thorough disussion, we decided she would benefit from a four lid blepharoplasty to corret the changes related to aging.

She had a blepharoplasty performed in one of the surgery centers in Munster under a local aneshetic with sedation. During the patient's plastic surgery procedure, excess skin and fat was removed. Her recovery included using ice and cold compresses for two days , and within a week she was able wear make-up and be seen in public. Her before and after photos demonstrate a refreshed appearance and a more youthful look.
