The Right Implant for You

Women choose breast enhancement surgery for a number of different reasons, so Dr. Galante will explain your options, answer your questions, and discuss your goals with you carefully before he makes a recommendation. In your consultation you will discuss implant choices including:

Saline vs. Silicone Gel

Breast augmentation patients today can choose between implants filled with either a sterile saltwater solution (saline) or silicone gel. While some surgeons strongly favor one or the other implant type, Dr. Galante has years of experience using both options and bases his recommendations partly on your personal preference, and partly on your anatomy and goals. • Saline - These implants are filled after they are placed in the breast, so they allow for smaller scars and more flexible sizing options. Saline implants generally cost less than silicone ones do, and are still the top choice among breast augmentation patients in Indiana.
